Visit the Atlanta History Center, located on 33 acres in the heart of Buckhead. The History Center includes one of the Southeast's largest history museums with six permanent exhibitions including the award-winning exhibit Turning Point: The American Civil War; two historic houses including 1928 Swan House and 1860's Tullie Smith farm; Centennial Olympic Games Museum; six historic gardens; and the Kenan Research Center. The History Center also includes the Margaret Mitchell House, located at the midtown campus. Throughout the year, visitors enjoy lecture series with award-winning authors, toddler programs, home school days, summer camps, music series, annual festivals such as Sheep to Shawl and much more.
