Reams Station Battlefield

Reams Station, part of the Petersburg National Battlefield Park, was the site of fighting in June and August 1864 along the Weldon Railroad. Much of the battlefield west of Halifax Road has been preserved. A series of historical markers along Halifax Road and in front of the Oakgrove United Methodist Church, 10 miles south of Petersburg, describe the fighting there.
