Moorefield

While the battlefield is now farmland, visitors can learn more about the Battle of Moorefield with an informational sign, erected by Civil War Trails, detailing the battle on the site where the action occurred. The loss of 400 Confederate soldiers and 400 captured horses at this battle irreparably damaged Confederate cavalry in the Shenandoah Valley.
