Civil War Trust Joins Congressman Hal Rogers to Announce Preservation Victories at Kentucky's Historic Mill Springs Battlefield

(Nancy, Ky.) – Congressman. Hal Rogers (R–Ky.) will join officials from the Civil War Trust and the Mill Springs Battlefield Association on Monday, October 21, to announce recent preservation victories as well as new land conservation opportunities at the historic Mill Springs Battlefield in Nancy, Ky.  Congressman Rogers has long been a recognized champion of historic preservation in the U.S. Congress.

The news conference will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the Mill Springs Battlefield Visitor Center, located on Hwy. 80.  Congressman Rogers will be joined at the event by Civil War Trust president James Lighthizer, Trust chairman emeritus John L. Nau, III, and Mill Springs Battlefield Association president Bill Neikirk.

The public is encouraged to arrive early for the 11 a.m. event.  Following the news conference, attendees will have an opportunity to tour the visitor center and nearby landmarks.  Refreshments will be available during and after the event.
