“Boom” is Back! Trust’s History Podcast Returns for Revamped Season 2

The American Battlefield Trust’s podcast “Boom Goes the History” has made its triumphant return. But the podcast, hosted by Director of Education Kris White and Chief Historian Garry Adelman, as well as frequent collaborator Chris Mackowski, enters its second season with a new format, giving listeners longer, in-depth discussions on topics ranging from the American Revolution to the Civil War and beyond.
“Our mission is important, and we can’t always get everything out there in a four-minute or even a 10-minute video,” Adelman said. “These are gateways into other parts of the American Battlefield Trust and our mission.”
The first season of the show mostly featured audio versions of the Trust’s video collection. Now, the second season offers original, long-form conversations about a myriad of historical topics.
“You're going to get a mixture of history, a mixture of our personalities and then a mixture of what we're up to at the Trust,” said White.

While normally behind the camera of the Trust’s award-winning YouTube videos, Andy “The Professor” Poulton joins Adelman and White on the mic. And White says Poulton won’t be the only other Trust personality appearing on the show: “This isn’t just going to be us. There will be many familiar faces and friends popping up.”
“We want to make sure that we’re showing off what we are doing at the Trust,” added Adelman.
The team is also paying close attention to audience feedback and using it to help shape future episodes, and White encouraged listeners to help ensure the podcast is one they want to listen to week after week.
“We read every comment. We listen to feedback, and we try to react to what people want,” said White
New episodes of Boom Goes the History premiere every other Tuesday on the Trust’s YouTube page and wherever podcasts are available.
