Civil War Then & Now

Built in 1790, Farley witnessed the Battle of Brandy Station in June of 1863. After the battle, Confederate General JEB Stuart made his headquarters on the property, followed by Union General John Sedgwick doing the same for his winter encampment of 1863-1864. Today we "step into" these photographs by Mathew Brady and his crew with Garry Adelman.
