A Witness Tree is a living tree that existed during the time of a historical event. Today, Dr. Daryl Black details the witness tree on Confederate Avenue at Gettysburg. For those interested in visiting, it is located on the left side of W Confederate Ave, just past the "Youth Group Campground Entrance." Here are the coordinates: 39°49'14.2"N 77°14'46.9"W
