The Shining Mountain Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Battlefield Trust are pleased to present the American Revolution Experience at the Montana State University Billings Library from October 4 to October 23, 2026.

The innovative pop-up exhibition includes display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology and unique artifacts and primary accounts to connect modern audiences with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation.

Hours of Operation

The exhibit is open during the following hours:

  • Mon - Thu | 8:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m.
  • Fri | 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
  • Sun | 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.

Special Events

The Display will run alongside the Montana State University Billings Library Lecture Series: America Turns 250.

Lectures:

  • Oct 6 | the Montana Constitution Roadshow: A Shared Heritage
  • Oct 13 | Revolutionary: Who was Deborah Samson?
  • Oct 20 | Revolutionary Legacies: The Politics of Independence in the Early American Republic
  • Oct 27 | Testing the Limits of Revolutionary Fervor: The US Response to the Haitian Revolution, 1791 - 1804
  • Nov 3 | Revolutionary Violence and the Origins of American Constitutions.

All lectures are Tuesday. eventings at 6:30 in Library 152. Free and open to the public.

Library 152 is accessed from the lower lobby connecting the Library and the Liberal Arts Building. Free event parking can be found at the MSUB Parking Garage.
