The Fort GreeneVille Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and the American Battlefield Trust are excited to feature the American Revolution Experience at the Garst Museum from April 27 - May 29, 2024. The innovative pop-up exhibition includes display panels and interactive digital kiosks that use storytelling, illustration, technology and unique artifacts and primary accounts to connect modern audiences with the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation.
The exhibit will be open the following hours:
- Tuesday thru Saturday 10am-4pm
- Closed Sundays and Mondays
Special Events:
- Saturday April 27, 2pm, the Garst Museum Lecture Series, "America 250! Loyalists Become Revolutionists" with Steve Kaplan, President of the Ohio Society of the SAR including the Richard Montgomery Chapter SAR Color Guard
- Saturday May 11, 2pm, Garst Museum Lecture Series by John Burkett, Travel in time to the American colonies with John and Lady Karen Burkett as they portray John and Abigail Adams sharing pre-revolutionary life and their captivating letters.
In addition to the exhibit, there will be handouts of American Revolutionary Patriots buried in Darke County, Ohio. Youth (K thru 12) are highly encouraged to attend the traveling exhibit and enter drawing for prizes.
The traveling exhibit and Lecture Series are free admission. Regular admission rates apply for those interested in touring the museum.
