Sowing Seeds at Wallace House

Join the AmeriCorps Watershed Ambassadors and New Jersey State Parks in bringing out the natural and cultural history of the Wallace House. There is a stream that flows beside the Wallace House, but you wouldn't know it by looking! It runs underground before finally emerging across the street at the Old Dutch Parsonage. In order to bring out this hidden water resource, we will be marking its path by planting multitudes of blue flowers. This will include flax, a crop that was likely grown on the property to make paint and linen, and several native species that will bloom throughout the year. Be prepared to get a little dirty. Gardening gloves are recommended, but some will be available to borrow.
