The Most Terrible Cannonading - U.S. Artillery Battery Demonstrations

Artillery played a decisive in the U.S. Army of the Cumberland's victory at the Battle of Stones River. One of the most profound effects that the cannons had was their psychological impact on their enemy. Watch as a six-gun battery fires and hear how Union artillery affected the hearts and minds of the Confederate soldiers facing them.
Programs will take place in the field in front of the Chicago Board of Trade Battery at Tour Stop 4. Park near the visitor center.
Demonstrations will start at 11 AM, 1 PM & 3 PM on Saturday October 19th and 11 AM & 1 PM on Sunday October 20th.
Special music concerts presented by the 52nd Regimental String Band (Saturday) and the Home Sweet Home Band (Sunday) will take place behind the visitor center at 11:30 AM and 2 PM each day.
