Monthly Living History: Farmstead Fridays – Making Hay by Hand

The hay harvest was one of the most important tasks of the year, as it would sustain livestock through the long winter. It was also one of the most labor-intensive. We will demonstrate all the steps in the process, including hand-mowing with scythes!
