Junior Ranger Day: Celebrate & Commemorate

Join park staff, volunteers, and the Holmes Brigade Living Historians for a day to learn about the history and stories of Wilson's Creek over 250 years and become a junior ranger!
Activities for the day will include:
9:00 am – 4:00 pm | Junior Ranger Station | Visitor Center
9:00 am – 3:00 pm | Living History Encampment | Visitor Center
9:30 am – 10:30 am | A Hike Through History | Stop 3
9:00 am – 11:00 am | Pop-Up: Life Liberty, & Pursuit of Happiness | Visitor Center
10:00 am – 3:00 pm | Life in Camp Photobooth | Visitor Center
10:00 am – 12:00 pm | Musket & Cannon Drills (non-firing) | Visitor Center
10:00 am – 12:00 pm & 1:00pm – 4:00 pm | Civil War Era Cricket | Ray House
11:00 am – 12:00 pm | Musket Firing Demonstrations with the Holmes Brigade | Stop 5
11:00 am – 1:00 pm | Junior Naturalist Activity | TBD
1:00 pm – 3:00 pm | Design a Unit Flag Craft | Visitor Center

We do our best to ensure particpants of all abilities can join. Hike Through History occurs on a trail of about a half mile. The trail is steep at the beginning and end, and is graveled. For questions or requests related to accessibility, please call the accessibility coordinator at 417-366-9145.
