Stephen McBride will discuss the Home's development in early 1865 and its dramatic and heartbreaking closure beginning in August 1865, and the living legacy of the Black experience at Camp Nelson today.

Meet NPS staff at the main park Visitor Center at 6:45 pm. Participants will then follow an NPS caravan from the parking lot southwest across US-27 to the Home for Colored Refugees (Fee Church).
