"It is infinitely better to have a few good men than many indifferent ones" Ethan Allen & the Green Mountain Boys Take Fort Ticonderoga In 1775 Ethan Allen and his Green Mountain Boys captured Fort Ticonderoga from the British which garnered the American rebels over 100 cannons to be used in the siege of Boston. But Allen could care less about the artillery. He had more personal goals in mind. Throw in Benedict Arnold as a foil to the operation and this first American victory has many sides to the story.
