Please join us at the Chickamauga Battlefield Visitor Center as we host Colonel Edna Cummings (U.S. Army Ret.) for a lecture and book signing.
 
She will discuss how the 6888th Central Postal Battalion became her heritage, their history, and the path to the Six Triple Eight's Congressional Gold Medal. Colonel Cummings was the driving force and advocate for the 6888th being awarded this medal.
 
She will also be signing her book, “A Soldiers Life, A Black Woman’s Rise from Army Brat to Six Triple Eight Champion," from 10 am to 11:30 am and again after her 1 pm lecture.
