Cold Harbor Anniversary Event: Armies on the Edge

In the summer of 1864 Union and Confederate armies faced exhaustion. So did civilians. Everyone was on the edge of their physical and mental limits.

 

IMPORTANT UPDATE – Cold Harbor Event Schedule Change

Due to expected inclement weather, Saturday's June 7th Battle of Cold Harbor programming will be reduced.

Visit the park to learn about the experiences of those caught up in this large battle. The event will feature ranger-guided tours, children's activities, and cannon demonstrations. There will be no living history.

-9:30 Cannon Demonstration
-10:00 Ranger-led Tour: "Surviving Cold Harbor"at Visitor Center 
-12:00 Cannon Demonstration
-2:00  Daily Ranger talk at Visitor Center 
-4:30 Visitor Center closes
