A newly proposed warehouse distribution center entitled the “Manassas Logistics Center” is being considered adjacent to the Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park. If approved and constructed, the Manassas Logistics Center will transform Bristow Road from a rural thoroughfare into another frustrating, multi-lane Route 28. The proposal includes more than 770,000 square feet of warehouse space – nearly 4.5 times the size of the U.S. Capitol! Hundreds of loading docks and more than a thousand parking spaces will generate unending congestion for local residents. The project will also destroy a key part of the Bristoe Station battlefield, identified by Preservation Virginia as one of the most endangered historic sites in the state.
