Arts In Parks Celebration - Featuring the Home Sweet Home Band

Partner Event
October 18, 2025 @ 10:00 AM - 3:30 PM EDT

Stones River National Battlefield
Murfreesboro, TN 37129

Join us on Saturday October 18, 2025, as we celebrate National Arts and Humanities Month with an array of experiences highlighted by special live music concerts presented by the Home Sweet Home Band at 11 AM and 2 PM. Listen and enjoy as these talented local musicians share songs that entertained and stirred emotions in soldiers and civilians during the Civil War along with more current selections inspired by that pivotal period in our nation's history.

Before and after each concert, you can watch our our volunteer cannon crew present firing demonstrations and discover how the work of engaging the enemy with artillery was as much an art as it was a science during the Civil War. Demonstrations will take place at 10 AM, 12 PM, 1 PM & 3 PM.

While in our visitor center, you can view the artwork produced during the Civil as well as modern day works inspired by the battlefield and its stories. Those works will include contributions by past Artists in Residence and local artists.

The concerts and artillery demonstrations will take place on the patio and lawn behind the park visitor center. Limited concert seating will be available. We encourage you to bring a folding chair or blanket.
