Living history, authentic encampments, and reenactors bring Florida history to the forefront during the 47th Annual Reenactment at the Olustee Battlefield Historic State Park for the 160th anniversary of the battle.
The event is huge in scale, hosted every year by the Olustee Battlefield Citizen Support Organization and supported by park staff, volunteers, and hundreds of reenactors. Activities vary throughout the weekend - from the live battle reenactment, to memorial services, demonstrations, crafts and arts, concerts, parades and more!
On Saturday, there will be a full-scale battle reenactment at 1:30 p.m. Sunday will feature the scripted reenactment of the Battle of Olustee at 1:30 p.m.
A Battle of Olustee Ball event takes place the night of the reenactment, where participants dance the night away in period dress.
Educational programs and demonstrations designed specifically for school groups are offered on the Friday of the reenactment weekend where kids can see what life was like in 1860s Florida.
