American Revolution Experience Print on Demand Exhibition
The American Revolution Experience exhibition is a nationally acclaimed project that connects modern audiences with the fascinating story of our nation’s origins. First launched as an online interactive exhibit during the summer of 2022 to rapid acclaim, a traveling exhibit version combining display panels and interactive kiosks took the exhibit on the road in 2023. Due to the surging demand and high number of waitlist requests, the American Battlefield Trust and its partner the Daughters of the American Revolution have now created a print on demand version of the traveling exhibit.
As with the traveling exhibit, the printed posters can provide the backdrop to community conversations, public programs and renewed interest in the people and places that shaped the birth of our nation.
What is a "print on demand" exhibit?
We provide the production-ready digital files of the exhibit panels for you (the host) to print using any commercial printer or print service. Panels can be printed as posters or on foamcore boards or other durable materials for longer-lasting use. With the print on Demand exhibit, you will not receive any physical banners, equipment, or devices from the American Battlefield Trust.
Additionally, we provide links to the video content shown in the traveling exhibit kiosks. You are free to show those videos to your visitors on your own devices.
What is the advantage of the print on demand exhibit over the traveling exhibit?
With the print on demand version, there is no waitlist. Files can be transferred as soon as the license agreement is approved. The organization which licenses the print on demand exhibit and prints the posters, then owns those posters. They can remain on display as long as desired and can be shared with other local groups; we only ask that you inform us if you share the printed posters with another organization.
How much does the exhibit cost?
The digital files are free to license, after the license application is filled out and approved. Printing costs depend on your location and materials. The user is responsible for all printing and mounting costs, such as mounting strips or easels.
What are the restrictions and obligations while displaying the exhibit?
Since the exhibit is free of charge, you cannot charge an admission fee or other surcharge to visitors. If the exhibit is placed in a museum or historic home that charges an entry fee, you may continue to charge the general admission fee to your site but may not charge extra fees for the exhibit.
You may not alter the files in any way. The content, images and logos must all remain on view as they appear in the files. You may, however, change the order of the posters, or display only a selection if space requires.
When promoting the exhibit through any medium, you must include appropriate credit with the following phrase: “The American Revolution Experience was created by the American Battlefield Trust, with generous support from the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.”
What is included in the print on demand exhibit?
The print on demand files replicate the full content — an introduction and five themes — of the physical traveling exhibit’s 12-freestanding banners as a series of posters. To accommodate different space and budget restrictions, the print on demand digital files are available in two different formats:

Each poster is 24” wide by 36” tall

Option 2: Small Space Poster Set

The image seen here is one of the six panels from the small print on demand exhibition. It is printed on foam core and displayed on a simple easel.
Additionally, we have made available the videos that circulate with the traveling exhibit. Visitors may access the video content on the devices you supply or on their own phones.
How do I request access to the files?
Please complete the application form below and agree to the terms and conditions that will follow in a separate email. After that, you'll receive a message that will provide access to the exhibition files, instruction guide, and other useful materials. For us to comply with the legal requirements of the exhibition licensing agreement, we ask that you refrain from sharing the file access with other entities. Instead, simply direct other groups and individuals to this request form: https://americanbattlefieldtrust.wufoo.com/forms/wd1sud40muesy2/
