Fort Mahan Litter Removal

When marching at a fort, the pace isn't the only thing to pick up... Prepare your grabbers, soldiers, we have a fort to clean! Rally yourself at Fort Mahan Park on June15 to help remove litter and beautify this beloved recreational oasis. Community members depend on the fort for outdoor activities, and the less trash that's strewn about, the better it is for everyone. Assemble at 10:00 AM by the intersection of 42nd St NE and Grant St NE at the Fort Circle Park Hiker-Biker Trail sign. There, you’ll receive supplies and instructions before spending a lovely Sunday morning volunteering to help conserve a historic fort. Enlist for this opportunity on volunteer.gov, and we’ll see you at the fort!
