The American Battlefield Trust is working to preserve 838 acres at Gaines’ Mill–Cold Harbor and White Oak Road — landscapes where pivotal Civil War battles shaped the nation’s future. Without immediate action, this land could be lost to development forever.

For more than four decades, dedicated supporters have helped protect over 60,000 acres of battlefield land nationwide, including more than 1,200 acres at Gaines’ Mill and Cold Harbor alone. Now, the remaining vulnerable tracts must be secured.
