Concerned Preservationists - Help Save Princeton: The Battle that Saved the Revolution
The Ten Crucial Days between George Washington’s Christmas crossing of the Delaware River and the January 3, 1777, Battle of Princeton changed the course of the Revolutionary War.
As the 250th anniversary of this decisive battle approaches, the Trust alongside the Princeton Battlefield Society and New Jersey State Parks, Forests & Historic Sites, has launched the “Reimagining Princeton” project to restore and interpret Princeton Battlefield State Park.
The multi-year initiative is aimed at restoring the battlefield’s historic landscape and enhancing its educational and interpretive offerings, creating an immersive visitor experience. State Senator Andrew Zwicker and Assemblywoman Mitchelle Drulis have introduced a Budget Request for $1 million to improve visitor amenities and support battlefield restoration activities at Princeton Battlefield State Park in preparation for America’s 250th birthday in 2026.
Please join us in supporting the Reimagining Princeton project by signing a letter for the inclusion of $1 million in New Jersey’s FY2026 budget, helping us save the battlefield that saved the Revolution.
