In October 1781, Continental and French soldiers assaulted two critical British positions at Yorktown, Redoubts 9 and 10. It was one of the most consequential attacks of the American Revolution. Their capture eventually forced Lord Charles Cornwallis to surrender his army to General George Washington and achieve independence for the United States.
For the first time ever, we are taking our popular Generations events online to connect families from their home to the critical moments of the past. Join American Battlefield Trust Senior Education Associate Dan Davis as we Virtually Storm the Redoubts at Yorktown! We will learn about the School of the Soldier, soldier's rations and camp cooking and one of the most famous charges in American military history by utilizing some of the Trust's free educational resources.
