Veteran's Day Luminary at Sailor's Creek

Site of the 1865 battle that was followed by the surrender at Appomattox Courthouse, the Sailor’s Creek Battlefield State Park is hosting their annual Veteran’s Day Luminary commemoration event. Led by park rangers, visitors will experience historical vignettes of the Battle of Sailor’s Creek recreated by historians. The park will also be unveiling a brand-new trail of the battlefield, never before used. The program is free and submissions to Honor a Veteran at the event are open.
