November 3-4, 2018
Historic Camden Revolutionary War Field Days
222 Broad Street
Camden, SC 29020

Did you know that two battles were fought near Camden, South Carolina, a British outpost during the American Revolution? Both were British victories. Still, the Americans remained resilient and the campaign for independence continued. Ultimately, the British abandoned Camden.

Join the American Battlefield Trust and the Historic Camden Foundation for special Generations events.

Generations programs are designed for both adults and kids of all ages to share in the experiences, together. Come on out and help instill a lifelong passion for history in your daughter, grandson, neighbor or friend. The event is free and open to all, with the hope that you will participate with someone of another generation. Some lucky kids will even get to don hats and uniforms!

The events are part of Historic Camden Foundation’s Revolutionary War Field Days which runs from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., with many great activities. Each of the Generations events, scheduled for 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. each day and lasting roughly one hour each, will consist of:

  • School of the Soldier
  • Brief history talks
  • Charge the Enemy!
