Between Gettysburg, Harpers Ferry, Richmond and the Shenandoah Valley, some of the most decisive events in US history occurred between 1859 (John Brown's raid) and 1865 (Lee's surrender at Appomattox). Some fine trails now trace the course of those events, in well preserved natural areas. Learn about some of the most interesting from two members of the PATC volunteers who produced "The Hiker's Guide to Civil War Trails in the Mid-Atlantic Region."
This one-hour session at the Timonium REI in Maryland is free, but space is limited and registration is required.
