The Thomas Paine Cottage Museum is the last existing building in America that founding father Thomas Paine owned & lived in. It is owned, maintained and operated by the Huguenot & New Rochelle Historical Association. It has been opened to the public since July 14, 1910. The park grounds is home to the last one room schoolhouse in New Rochelle, NY, Paine's original grave site, a Siwanoy people image stone and Revolutionary War monument erected & dedicated by the DAR.
We are looking for help with painting, carpentry shrubbery removal, preparing flower beds and general ground maintenance and light housekeeping of the interior of our Museum. Repair work to our utility shed and outhouse.

History or Educational Activities
Our Museum will be open to Park Day volunteers for private tours and outside grounds scavenger hunt for kids.

Work gloves, protective eye wear, masks, gardening tools
