Meeting place
We will meet at the John Siddle Williams House, 18540 Museum Street, Hickory County, Missouri. Time of arrival: 9 AM (can arrive later).
Planned Activities
Museum housekeeping chores (sweeping, dusting, etc.), cleaning and planting flower beds, aiding in archaeological excavation, painting/interior & exterior.
History or Educational Activities
John Siddle Williams was the first Sheriff and Collector appointed when Hickory County was formed. He was later elected to the Missouri Legislature, serving from 1850 until 1861. He left the legislature in 1861 to serve as a Confederate officer during the Civil War. He later served as a State Senator in Arkansas until 1882, when he died on the Senate floor. A program on his life and service in the Confederacy will be presented.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Gloves would be helpful and clothing appropriate for working outside in flowerbeds, dirt or painting

In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will continue as planned.
