Park Day Volunteer Opportunity
Park Day @ Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park

Volunteers are asked to meet at the Fort Moultrie Visitors Center, located at 1214 Middle St. Sullivan's Island. It is encouraged for volunteers to arrive 15 minutes prior to the event time to allow volunteers to get signed in, gather supplies, etc.
Participates of this activity will be assisting park staff with the preservation of historic Fort Moultrie. Activities include pulling weeds, washing informational signs, sweeping, trimming, etc. More strenuous activities may be available to those who are interested.
History or Educational Activities
Formal programs at Fort Moultrie are offered at 11 am, and 2 pm.
Should I bring any tools or supplies?
Volunteers are asked to bring gloves and water bottles. We will provide trash bags and basic supplies. A filtered water bottle station is available onsite.
Is there a rain date?
In the instance of inclement weather, Park Day will be cancelled.
Participates can park in the visitor center parking lot. Children under the age of 15 will need to be accompanied by an adult. Volunteers will need to sign a 301-B volunteer form for their service, and read applicable Job Hazard Analysis sheets for safety information.
