Join this site as a volunteer on Park Day 2018, the American Battlefield Trust’s annual hands-on event to help battlefields and historic sites take on maintenance projects large and small. Meeting place: At Belle Grove's Manor House site. Drive into the parking lot, up around the barn and park in the lot by the Barn.

Meeting time: 9:00 a.m.

Planned Activities: Building or Repairing Fences, Painting

Planned Low-Impact Activities: Scraping and painting

Bring Tools & Supplies: Gloves, paint scrapers (optional), large paint brushes suitable for painting fences (optional)

History or Educational Programs: Volunteers will be oriented to the site and be allowed to take a guided tour of the Manor House that day or receive passes to visit another day.

Food provided: Yes, water and snacks

Please note: Volunteers should plan to work until at least noon but ideally until 3 p.m. We will provide a lunch break. Volunteers are welcome to bring a lunch to picnic on the property or there are local restaurants.nearby. This project is not suitable for very young children (under age 8) and all minors must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or other responsible adult (e.g., scout leader).
