Where will the Grand Review be held in Franklin, Tennessee?

The host hotel for the Grand Review is the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs, located at 700 Cool Springs Blvd., Franklin, TN 37067. The registration, the Friday evening reception will take place at the Marriott, and buses for the tours and the Saturday evening dinner will depart from and return to this Marriott as well. 

Do I need to stay at the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs to participate in the Grand Review?

No. You are welcome stay anywhere. 

What is some important information that I need to know about staying at the Franklin Marriott?

We have recently learned of some new policies for hotel reservations. Please make sure that you secure your reservation with a valid credit card, even if you are a Marriott Rewards Member. Furthermore, if you have the option to check-in online, please do so to ensure that your reservation is secure on the day of arrival. Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check out is 12:00 pm. Parking and wireless internet are both complimentary at the Marriott. There is also a complimentary hotel shuttle that can take you within a 5-mile radius of the hotel. 

If the room blocks at the Marriott are sold out, what should I do about a room?

First send an email to and asked to be put on a waiting list for the Marriott. Please include the date of your arrival, departure, any special requests and the best way to contact you. Second, you can find nearby hotels here:

What are my travel options to Franklin?

If you are flying into the area, the closest area is Nashville International Airport (BNA). The airport is 20 miles to the Franklin Marriott Cool Spring.  

  • Estimated Taxi Fair: $60/one way
  • Estimated Uber Fair: $33/one way
  • Cool Springs Executive Service: $70/one way
  • As of June, rental cars could be found for the weekend starting at $115 for Friday through Sunday.

What is the parking like at the Marriott?

Self-parking is free and plentiful.

Will I need a car once I arrive at the hotel for the Grand Review?

All activities that are scheduled will have transportation provided for you to and from the Marriott.

During the Grand Review

What meals are included in the weekend?

A. We will have heavy appetizers at the Friday evening reception at the Franklin Marriott, but you may want to make restaurant reservations if you want a full meal. The Franklin area is full of wonderful dining experiences, or you can eat in the hotel restaurant. On Saturday evening, we will provide a full meal at Carnton Plantation.  Breakfast is on your own Saturday, but we will provide breakfast on Sunday morning. 

What is a personal itinerary and why is it so important?

You will receive a personal itinerary on-site when you register. It will provide you with information about what tours and events you signed up for and when your specific tour lines up for departure. All tours depart at different times, so please be sure to remember when the tour you signed up for departs. We will not hold a bus for you if you are tardy, so please be sure to be on time.

Will there be American Battlefield Trust merchandise for sale at the Grand Review?

No, I’m sorry, but we will not have American Battlefield Trust merchandise for sale during this weekend.

What is the attire during for the activities scheduled during the Grand Review?

This is YOUR vacation, and we want you to be comfortable and casual. Long pants and closed toed walking shoes are recommended. You may want to consider bringing a hat, umbrella, sunscreen and bug spray. For our evening events the suggested dress code is as follows: 

  • Friday Evening Reception at the Franklin Marriott: BusinessCasual/Casual Attire. 
  • Saturday Evening Dinner Banquet at Carnton Plantation: Cocktail/Business Attire.
